While it’s been established that The Madison is no longer a Yellowstone spinoff, we're still holding out hope that the Clyburns and Duttons could cross paths in the future.
After all, the Clyburns have just started to find their footing in their rural Montana community, which as its title suggests is located within Madison county. The region is also just a hop, skip, and jump away from the town of Dillon, Mont., where Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) set up shop at the end of Yellowstone. Which is really all to say: they’re practically neighbors!
On top of that, The Madison director Christina Alexandra Voros is also currently leading the charge on Beth and Rip’s own upcoming spinoff Dutton Ranch. The series, which is currently in production, will see the couple setting out on a brand new adventure following the events of the flagship show.

When asked if a crossover between the shows could potentially be on the horizon, Voros simply tells Entertainment Weekly, “You would have to talk to the man who holds the pen.”
That, of course, would be series creator Taylor Sheridan. And, as Jane Wiseman, Executive Vice President and Head of Originals for Paramount+, tells EW, the 55-year-old writer-director has a lot on his plate already.

“I cannot say, but that would be an interesting thing,” Wiseman says of a Madison and Dutton Ranch crossover. “But no, right now… Also, Taylor's also writing all the episodes of Frisco King, which is our Tulsa King spinoff, so he is quite busy.”

There is, admittedly, a slim window of time in which the families would even get the chance to interact, given that Dutton Ranch will follow Beth and Rip as they leave Montana to settle down on a 7,000-acre ranch in South Texas. What will happen to the couple’s Dillon home — or who will watch over it in their stead — is currently unknown.
It’s also not the only potential crossover that's currently up in the air, either. It's unclear if Beth will ever end up making the trip back up to Montana to visit her brother Kayce (Luke Grimes) on his own CBS spinoff, Marshals. "If something happens, that would be great," Marshals showrunner Spencer Hudnut previously told Entertainment Weekly. "But I think both shows are sort of forging their own paths right now."

He continued, "The shows kind of exist in the same universe. If Kayce, Rip, and Beth reunited at some point, I'm sure everybody would like it. It's one of those things where we'll see what happens down the road.” And, if Beth and Rip do, we know another spot that they should stop by!
