C-drama The Early Spring recently revealed its premiere date. The C-drama starring Jing Boran and Sun Qian will premiere on August 26, 2026. Along with airing on Youku, the workplace drama will be available to watch on Netflix globally.
The C-drama revolves around the story of a 'rookie' professional who is trying to maneuver through the corporate world while also dealing with a complex workplace romance with a superior. The upcoming drama promises a story filled with complex dynamics between the two leads as they try to maintain their relationship amid the power imbalance that their professions bring into their lives.

The Early Spring: Release date and streaming details
Based on Gu Niang Bie Ku's webnovel, Zao Chun Qing Lang, the C-drama is set to premiere on August 26, 2026. Apart from Youku, The Early Spring will also premiere simultaneously on Netflix, for an international audience.

The Early Spring: Plot and cast details
As per Wikipedia, the synopsis of the upcoming C-drama reads:
"Shang Zhitao, a young woman from an ordinary background, unexpectedly lands a job at a world-class advertising agency, entering the high-pressure world of elite marketing. There, she encounters the brilliant but aloof industry veteran Luan Nian."
It further reads:
"The story follows her professional growth from a workplace novice to a seasoned professional, exploring the complexities of modern office politics and the blossoming of a mature romance. Years later, after returning to her hometown to lead a simpler life as a restaurant owner, their paths cross again, leading to a profound re-evaluation of their past and future."
It stars popular C-drama actor Sun Qian, known forMeteor Garden and Love Song in Winter, as Shang Zhitao. The male lead Luan Nian will be portrayed by Jing Boran (Monster Hunt, The Love of Hypnosis).
