The Devil Wears Prada 2 is now in theaters
The anticipated sequel arrives 20 years after the original
An all-star cast is supported by several celeb cameos in the long-awaited sequel
The Devil Wears Prada 2 brings audiences back to the glamorous world of Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly, Anne Hathaway's Andy Sachs and Runway magazine. Joining them this time around is a succession of celebrities making chic cameos — some significant, some all too brief.
The sequel (in theaters now) again hails from director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, who back in 2006 adapted Lauren Weisberger's novel The Devil Wears Prada (based on her actual experience of working at Vogue magazine under Anna Wintour). Among the returning cast are Emily Blunt as Emily, Stanley Tucci as Nigel, Tracie Thoms as Lily and Tibor Feldman as Irv.
The movie's starry supporters include Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon and Helen J. Shen as Runway employees, Lucy Liu and Justin Theroux as celeb divorcees, B.J. Novak as Irv's businessman son, Patrick Brammall as Andy's love interest Peter and Kenneth Branagh as Miranda's husband Stuart.
But it's the cameos, those playing themselves, who help bring to life the high-fashion settings of The Devil Wears Prada 2. Read on for everything you about the movie's memorable celeb moments.

Lady Gaga
Mother Monster was just getting her start in the biz when 2006's The Devil Wears Prada came out, and has since become a global superstar in the music, screen and fashion industries. Fittingly, she lends her expertise in all three to the fab sequel.
Three new tracks from Gaga, 40, feature in the movie: "Shape of a Woman,” which she performs amid an eye-popping fashion show in Milan, Italy; "Glamorous Life,” which can be heard in the credits sequence; and “Runway," her collab with Doechii, which plays over one of the movie's many high-energy montages.
But best of all is her scene opposite Streep, 76. As herself — well, a haughty, no-nonsense version of herself who evidently has beef with Streep's Runway editor-in-chief — Gaga faces off with the Oscar winner just before the Italian fashion show performance. “Who let her in here?” Gaga hisses at her hair and makeup team after Miranda swans away.
Donatella Versace
Being one of Italy's most famous designers, Versace, 70, makes her appearance after the story's action takes us to Milan, where she's seen lunching with Blunt's Chanel exec Emily. The esteemed fashionista features more prominently in The Devil Wears Prada 2 than many of her contemporaries. At one point Blunt's character yells in exasperated, rapid-fire Italian at a protesting Versace when they're interrupted by Hathaway.

Ciara
Those looking for clues ahead of time as to which celebs make cameos in the new movie can look to its many red carpet premiere events. Ciara is one such blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearance, appearing in Miranda's orbit at a starry event.
“How sweet it is to be part of Devil Wears Prada 2!” the singer-actress, 40, wrote in an Instagram post showing off her denim look at the April 20 New York City premiere.
Jon Batiste and Suleika Jaouad
The sequel's starriest scene involves Streep's Miranda introducing Hathaway's Andy to guests at her Hamptons house. Among those joining the fashion editors for lunch are husband-and-wife duo Jon Batiste and Suleika Jaouad. Like Ciara, the musician and writer celebrated their inclusion in the movie with an Instagram update of their date night at a premiere.
Jenna Bush Hager and other journalists
All-star journalists feature heavily in the Devil Wears Prada 2 scene set in the Hamptons. Today show correspondent Jenna Bush Hager can be glimpsed chatting with Streep and Hathaway's characters about the interview they booked with Liu's character.
Joining her at the glam lunch party are journalism heavyweights Tina Brown, Kara Swisher, Molly Jong-Fast, Jia Tolentino and comedian-journalist Ronny Chieng. Brown, 72, included behind-the-scenes glimpses of the film shoot on her Substack, recalling that Streep looked chic in her “flippy, cropped, silver Miranda hair that I couldn't believe was a wig.”

Sports stars also appear in Miranda's orbit, with New York Knicks player Karl-Anthony Towns taking Hathaway's Andy by surprise at the Hamptons event, and Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy appearing — reportedly as director Frankel's favorite cameo.
Law Roach and Amelia Dimoldenberg
Early in the movie during a survey of a starry event Miranda is attending, stylist Law Roach and Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg are seen tossing bon mots at fellow fabulous guests. Roach, 47, celebrated the new movie with a social media video introducing himself as “LAWranda Priestly.”
Fashion icons
The Devil Wears Prada 2 phoned in favors in the fashion world, and you'd better believe its biggest players heeded the call. Blink and you'll miss supermodels Heidi Klum (who similarly appeared in the background of the original film), Naomi Campbell, Ashley Graham, Winnie Harlow, Karolína Kurková, Calum Harper and more, as well as Marc Jacobs working within the Runway office itself.
The Devil Wears Prada is in theaters as of May 1.
