Sean Hannity is clearing the air following a wave of viewer concern.

The Fox News host, 64, addressed the commentary surrounding the slight change in his on-camera appearance in a June 24 X post, writing that puffiness and a raspy voice are common side-effects of a medication he's been taking to treat a pinched nerve.

Viewers took notice of Hannity's swollen features as he analyzed New York's primary election results and later interviewed White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller on the evening of June 23.

"I’ve already addressed this several times on my radio show, but while training, I developed a painful pinched nerve in my neck," Hannity wrote. "My doctor put me on prednisone to reduce the inflammation, and while it’s helping, it led to laryngitis and some puffiness, which is normal for this medication."

Hannity also thanked "everyone who has checked in."

According to the Cleveland Clinic, prednisone is an anti-inflammatory medication that is typically prescribed to relieve pain and inflammation caused by a pinched nerve. Prednisone, a type of steroid, can be taken orally or via injection.

Hannity confirmed he was "fine, recovering well, and still training," adding that he was sorry to disappoint members of the left-wing media "but a pinched nerve, a raspy voice, and a puffy face aren’t taking me out anytime soon."

"...But apparently a few weeks of prednisone has generated more social media commentary than 30 years of ratings success. I appreciate all the concern and well wishes—including from members of the left-wing media," he concluded.

Sean Hannity says prednisone is 'just annoying'

Hannity isn't a huge fan of prednisone, namely the side effects he experiences while using that particular medication.

In a June 17 episode of "The Sean Hannity Show," the longtime conservative commentator revealed that he tries to avoid the medication whenever possible, despite struggling with laryngitis, because "it's just annoying."

"And the usual course of action is to take something like prednisone, which is a horrible medicine — the worst ever — that flushes your face, makes you bloated, hungry, irritable, and you know, ravenous for any food you can put in your stomach," Hannity said.

Hannity was forced to contemplate his stance when his staff said he "sounded like crap" on the June 16 show, which was then followed by back-to-back interviews with Vice President JD Vance.

"The five-minute interim between the time I finished the podcast and the time I actually got on the air, [my throat] closed completely and it didn't open until I started really talking and interviewing the vice president," Hannity said.

"I promise you there's nothing serious going on. This is just a typical Hannity laryngitis event. And I don't know just what am I supposed to do. I'm on live TV, I'm on live radio. Just is what it is," Hannity added.
