Sadie Sink is spilling a style secret.
The Stranger Things star, 23, revealed the accidental reason she appeared "really tan" when her character was introduced in season 2 of the hit Netflix show that just released the finale of its fifth and final season on New Year's Eve.
Sink, who was 14 years old when she debuted her role as Max Mayfield on the show nearly a decade ago, gave a glimpse inside her character's glam when speaking with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.

To prompt the conversation, Fallon took a trip down memory lane by showing Sink throwback photos of herself from earlier episodes of Stranger Things. To kick it off, he whipped out a still taken from season 2 of the show, which was released in July 2017.
"This is your first appearance as Max," the late-night show host told the actress.
Fallon asked her to share the first thing that comes to mind when she looks at the photo of herself clad in costume for her character.
"Well I remember they accidentally put a lot of bronzer on face in all of my first scenes, so that's the first thing that comes to mind," she shared, adding, "I look really tan... because she's like California, sun-kissed."

Sink added, "But then I think they went a little too crazy."
While Stranger Things has come to a close, the actress is booked and busy. Next, she's got a role in Spider-Man to look forward to, though she has kept details largely under wraps.
Sink will join the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she revealed she first learned sheād be entering the Spider-Verse while wrapping the fifth and final season of the Netflix series.

"Oh, it was crazy," Sink said. "Spider-Man has always been my favorite. I love Spider-Man. I love Tomās Spider-Man, especially. To be a fan of something and then join it is a familiar feeling for me, because I was a fan of Stranger Things before I joined the show, but I was super excited about what they had planned."
"I also worked with the director, Destin Daniel Kretten, in one of the first movies I ever did when I was 14, so itās kind of a full-circle moment,ā she said. āI had an amazing time working on that film.ā
She added, "I canāt wait to talk about it more. Thereās so much I want to share. Thatās why I feel like keeping Stranger Things secrets are kind of easy because I have so many Spider-Man secrets Iām sitting on that feel even more secretive."
