Prince Harry was seen attending Game 5 of the NBA Finals without his wife Meghan Markle by his side.

On Saturday, June 13, Prince Harry was spotted at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, where the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs are facing off. In a clip circulating on X, the Duke of Sussex was seen entering the stadium to watch the game wearing a grey-and-white basecall cap, a navy blue collared shirt, and a pair of matching navy pants.

On the same day that his father King Charles and the royal family celebrated Trooping the Colour in London, Prince Harry decided to catch the high-stakes basketball game. Game 5 is pivotal to the Knicks and if they emerge victorious, this will mark their first NBA Championship since 1973.

It is unclear who Prince Harry is rooting for in the game, as he has not publicly showcased his support for either the Spurs or Knicks.

After the unexpected appearance, Prince Harry was met with a wave of criticism on social media. Under a clip of him entering the building on the PageSix Instagram page, someone asked, "Who's he rooting for? Or is this a 'I hope both teams do well' scenario?"

To which one critic responded, "He might be rooting for himself, trying to catch some attention since it was trooping the colour parade today, celebrating his father's birthday, but he wasn't there."

While another person added, "His brother was all over the news today, so he has to go get his face in front of the cameras..."

And a third critic chimed in, "Trying to stay relevant. His fam can't be in the news more than him."

And someone else brutally commented, "Sad his companion is a paid bodyguard."

These comments come as Prince Harry made an appearance at the NBA game on the same day as the Trooping of Colour. This is an annual ceremonial event performed every year on Horse Guards Parade in London by regiments of Household Division to celebrate the official birthday of the sovereign.

The parade, which celebrates King Charles III's birthday, was attended by many of Prince Harry's relatives including Queen Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Other notable guests in attendance included Princess Anne, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, Prince Edward, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Richard, the Duke of Gloucester, Birgitte, the Duchess of Gloucester and Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent.

While many attended the event, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan were both missing for the the past four years. The last time the couple made an appearance at the parade was back in 2020 before they exited the royal family and their relocation to the US.
