This is the shocking moment that President Donald Trump was rushed off stage after shots were fired at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday evening.
Trump and first lady Melania Trump were evacuated from the event after a series of shots were heard inside the Washington Hilton, where the event was taking place.
Secret Service agents got Trump and others off the stage, while guests dived for safety as the chaotic scenes unfolded inside the hotel’s ballroom.

Shouts of “stay down” could be heard as attendees hit the floor and took cover under tables.
The New York Times reported that multiple law enforcement sources had identified the suspect to the newspaper as 31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen, of Torrance, California.
In a Truth Social post, Trump posted a photo of a man lying down on the ground at the hotel. Police said he was armed with a shotgun, handgun and multiple knives.
