"One, two, three... let's go. "
The chant fans scream during Taylor Swift's song "Delicate" became a rallying cry for Elisha Serrano, a Walla Walla, Washington, mom who set a New Year's resolution that involved a treadmill and the Eras Tour.
Like millions of Swifties, Serrano read in the 2023 Time Magazine Person of the Year interview how Swift trained on a treadmill. She would sing the set list for the three-hour show while doing cardio, running on the fast songs and walking on the slow ones.
Serrano decided she'd try it, too, as a way to get stronger after two years of health frustrations.
"I just had a lot of health issues the last two years and not a lot of answers and not really being taken seriously," Serrano says over Zoom. "I thought if I'm going to get doctors to believe me, I have to get healthier.”
She kicked off her challenge in late December, days before the new year. Serrano set up her iPad, climbed onto her treadmill and pressed play on the Disney+ concert film. The movie is three hours and 27 minutes. Swift dances through 10 sections of her various eras: "Lover," "Fearless," "Red," "Speak Now," "Reputation," "Folkmore" (which includes sister albums "Folklore" and "Evermore"), "1989," "The Tortured Poets Department," an acoustic set and "Midnights."
"I didn't think I was even going to make it through 'Lover,'" she says. "I just told myself to do it as much as you can. You have to start somewhere."
Her husband and three kids cheered her on from the living room.
"I ended up getting through 'Red' and was completely out of breath," she says of her first attempt. "I felt like I needed to pass out on the couch. "
Still, she kept coming back and was inspired every time the overture began: "It's been a long time coming."
The family bought a second treadmill so her kids could walk alongside her. A few times a week, she got on the treadmill, bumping the speed up and down depending on the pace of the songs. She began carrying a toy microphone to sing along.
And she committed herself to finishing one era at a time.
January became a map of small victories. She pushed past the "Speak Now" set. Then the high-energy punch of the "Reputation" era.

"That one's hard," she says, laughing. "I would get through 'Speak Now' but then would think, 'Nope, I'm done. I'm not doing this today.'"

She successfully completed "Folkmore."
"That was easy, because they're slower," she says.
By the end of January she'd made it to "1989."
Then February arrived, and with it the emotional wall of the surprise songs.
"Every time I get to the acoustic section, I can never hold it together," she says. "I'm like sitting there like crying, singing on the treadmill."
Still, she pushed. And on Feb. 19, she began the final section, "Midnights."
"As soon as Taylor sang, 'Meet me at midnight,' I was like, 'I'm gonna finish this.'"
Serrano posted a video that has been viewed more than 650,000 times on TikTok of her reaching the finish line, covering her face as tears and the credits rolled.
Her caption reads in part: "I truly didn't think I'd get to the end this quickly 😭🫶🏼 I’m down about 15lbs, although weight loss isn't technically my goal. Just want to get stronger for my kids 🫶🏼☺️ Thank you @Taylor Swift for making this so easy."
Now Serrano's sights are on an even bigger milestone: matching Swift's tour date count.
"I want to try to do it 149 times total," she says. "I mean, if Taylor could do it, I mean, she's just a girl too, right?"
