Michael Jackson's nephew breaks silence on Perez Hilton TikTok live as he admits to family feud

A relative of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, has spoken out following news surrounding celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

Earlier this week, the 48-year-old was hospitalized after he appeared on a TikTok livestream. On the live, which viewers watched on Tuesday, July 28, as Perez showed himself covered in blood, with visible cuts and holding what appeared to be a knife, leaving his fanbase concerned for his well-being.

Thousands of users reportedly witnessed the horrifying livestream and pleaded with him to make him stop harming himself. Police later arrived at his home in Miami, Florida, where he then received medical attention.

Now, TJ Jackson, the son of Tito Jackson and Michael Jackson's nephew, has revealed he has not seen the TikTok video, however, he spoke of Perez and admitted he hasn’t been nice to "celebs including his family."

"Everybody is talking about this Perez Hilton video. I haven’t seen it but from what I’ve heard it’s horrible," Jackson said on X. "One thing I’ll say…He hasn’t been nice to many celebs including my family."

He added, "Nevertheless I never want to see anyone broken and in such a dark place. I am praying for his healing and his health."

The post quickly garnered huge attention and caused people to be angry online. One person wrote, “I agree. I take no joy in revenge karma either, because that is God’s business.”

A second chimed in, "Okay but it wasn’t just Perez that wasn’t saying nice about your family. I promise you 90% of the comment section would agree but they won’t. Even I have said some things but let’s just pray and send love and not make it about ourselves."

A third person wrote, "That was many years ago. He had changed. He showed kindness." Others soon defended him, though with one person writing, "Exactly the kind of compassionate comment this situation needs right now. He's an awful person and has done awful things, but nobody deserves that. I saw it and I wish I could unsee it. It was horrific."

Another social media user shared, "It’s heart-breaking. I cried and have been crying. I am praying for him. Thank you for your compassion.”

Jackson soon defended himself over the backlash his tweet received. In a follow-up post on X, he added, "I've gotten so many comments disagreeing with my last posts on Perez Hilton that it's actually sad to me."

"Again, I know he was absolutely awful to so many (including my family) but I just wasn't raised or taught to want worse for people. It's just not the way. There is no beauty in 'revenge' or joy in 'karma' If you disagree, I believe, you are playing the wrong game in life or at least living by the wrong set of rules... A healthy ego doesn't need to feel justified."

He concluded, "I believe he (yes, even he) deserves privacy and will pray for his healing and strength for his kids and family during this painful time and hope you all do too."
