Oasis star Liam Gallagher has said he turned down an offer to appear on the BBC’s hit show The Celebrity Traitors.
Responding to a social media user expressing their wish to see Gallagher on the series, the singer-songwriter said he has no desire to do it.
“They should put Liam on Celebrity Traitors,” the X post said. In response, Gallagher wrote: “I’ve been asked it’s not my thing I’m not a celebrity.”
The BBC has declined to comment.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the show sees contestants try to detect the Traitors in the group while completing a series of challenges to win funds to contribute towards the prize pot.
If, at the end of the series, at least one Traitor is left among the finalists when they collectively decide to end the game, the Faithfuls – those who are not traitors – lose out on the money and the Traitor or Traitors win the full prize.
The celebrity edition’s second season launched last Thursday, with the premiere becoming the most watched debut episode of any series of the programme in the UK, with an average of 8.9 million viewers.

Stars such as TV presenter Maya Jama, actors Michael Sheen and Richard E Grant, singer James Blunt and comedians Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett feature in the current season.
During the second episode, journalist Amol Rajan was murdered by Traitors Jama and Grant, while comedian James Acaster was recruited to become the third Traitor.

The instalment ended on a cliff-hanger when Grant came under the spotlight during the first roundtable after he previously slipped up and admitted he was a traitor.
Viewers, however, were left not knowing who had been banished from the castle.
In her review of the latest season forThe Independent, Jessie Thompson described The Traitors as “the gift that keeps on giving”.
“In a mass of tired TV formats, where Strictly is slogging on and Bake Off is going stale, it’s a joy to watch something that doesn’t even feel close to peaking. Maybe a day will come when it starts to wear out, but for now, let’s luxuriate in a show in its golden age,” she added.
The Celebrity Traitors continues on Thursday at 8pm on BBC One.
