KPop Demon Hunters star EJAE has married her longtime fiancé Sam Kim.

The couple tied the knot on Oct. 17 in Seoul, South Korea, Vogue reported.

The nuptials were held on Stage 28, a nostalgic venue to EJAE, 34, and the Paebaek ceremony and welcome party at Congdu50, a Korean fusion restaurant.

“My grandparents lived in the house at the venue when I was a little girl,” EJAE, born Kim Eun-jae, told the outlet of the ceremony site. “I spent much of my childhood exploring the garden and walking with my grandfather in the hills behind the house.”

EJAE wore a custom Danielle Frankel tulle gown with a bubble hem and strapless neckline, paired with dainty family heirloom jewelry, according to Vogue.

“I had long admired Danielle’s modern, but slightly twisted take on a classic wedding dress, and I knew I wanted to reach out to see if she would be interested in working with me on a custom dress,” she told the outlet. “From our first meeting, Danielle immediately understood my vision: ethereal, modern, chic, and timeless with a twist.”

After they got engaged in the fall of 2023, the couple kept most details of their engagement private. The singer later announced the personal news on Instagram in January 2026, when she subtly posted photos of the milestone. The pair met in 2017, when Kim was a music producer and they were set up for a songwriting session.

While promotingKPop Demon Hunters with co-songwriter Mark Sonnenblick, EJAE told the story of how one of the film’s biggest songs, “What It Sounds Like,” involved Kim.

In an interview for The 92nd Street Y, EJAE previously shared that the vocal arrangement for the movie’s climactic anthem was recorded in her Brooklyn apartment with Kim.

“There’s a lot of layers, lots of harmonies, lots of crowd,” she explained. “His voice is in there if you listen really closely.”

Shortly after her win for Best Original Song at the 98th Academy Awards for “Golden,” EJAE told PEOPLE exclusively for the World’s Most Beautiful issue that she felt “grounded” with her fiancé at her side while skyrocketing to international fame.

“I was telling him the other day, crying, I don’t think I could have gone through this without him,” she said of Kim. “I’m so grateful to him because this is not easy and he made me feel grounded.”
