Ginnifer Goodwin shared exclusively with PEOPLE how her kids, sons Oliver and Hugo, might be catching the acting bug

Goodwin shares her kids with her husband, Josh Dallas, whom she met in 2011 on the set of their show Once Upon a Time
Ginnifer Goodwin is “delighted” that her two kids have “discovered” acting.
Speaking with PEOPLE in an exclusive conversation on the BAFTA Tea red carpet in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Jan. 10, the Zootopia 2 star shared how her sons — Hugo, 9, and Oliver, 11 — might be catching the acting bug.
“They have discovered school plays, and I am delighted,” Goodwin, 47, said of her kids, whom she shares with her husband, actor Josh Dallas, 47.

The Once Upon a Time actress continued, “I thought I wanted to keep them as far away from show business as possible. Then when they weren’t interested, I was like, ‘What did I do wrong?’ ”
“So, I mean, I’m very happy in this place that is, like, let’s focus on school productions,” Goodwin concluded of her children’s budding interest.
Aside from school plays, Oliver and Hugo also recently made their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of Zootopia 2 in November.
“We have never let our children go to Hollywood anything. We’re very private. We heart out their faces on social media,” Goodwin told E! News at the time. “We’ve explained to them we’re still not gonna be posting about them, and they’re not allowed to Google themselves.”

Goodwin, who voices the lead character Judy Hopps in Zootopia 2, met her actor husband in 2011 on the set of their show Once Upon a Time, on which they costarred as Snow White and Prince Charming.
A year later, they went public with their real-life romance.
Goodwin and Dallas got married in April 2014 before welcoming their first child, Oliver, that year and their second son, Hugo, in 2016.
At Friday’s BAFTA Tea event, Goodwin sang her husband’s praises.
“Oh my gosh, well, he’s the best father ever, but he’s also the best date ever,” she told PEOPLE. “If he’s not with me, like right now, he’s with the boys. But there have been some of these events he’s come as my date, and then we get to make it a family celebration.”
Goodwin’s Zootopia 2 is now in theaters.
