Dan + Shay tell PEOPLE they would "absolutely" perform at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding if invited
The duo has performed at many celebrity and fan weddings over the years
Swift and Kelce are rumored to tie the knot this summer
If Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are still in need of wedding performers, Dan + Shay are ready to step up to the plate.
Musical duo Dan Smyers, 38, and Shay Mooney, 34, were surprise performers at Sports Illustrated and Tight End University's Tight Ends & Friends Concert Presented by Reese's at The Pinnacle in Nashville on Tuesday, June 23. While walking the red carpet ahead of their performance, the pair said they'd "absolutely" sing at Swift and Kelce's rumored summer wedding if they had the chance.
"I think we've been preparing our whole lives to play at this wedding," Mooney jokes to PEOPLE. "But no, if they asked us to sing literally anything, we would do one of our songs, one of hers, literally just any song. We'd be happy to get the invite. So drop the good word if you talk to them tonight."
Smyers agrees, saying, "100%. 100%. We're in."

Earlier this year, on the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 17, Dan + Shay revealed to Access Hollywoodthe one song they'd sing at Swift and Kelce's wedding if they were invited to perform.
"What would we perform? Maybe 'Love Story,' " Smyers said, recalling, "We honestly sang 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift at a wedding one time. We got flown in by these people who- I feel like they wanted Taylor Swift. They couldn't get Taylor, so they got us instead. And they were like, 'Yeah, you could sing whatever of your songs you want, but could you do 'Love Story'? We're like, 'Absolutely, don't even need to rehearse it.' "
Dan + Shay have performed at many celebrity weddings, including Justin and Hailey Bieber's second wedding in 2019 and at exes Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's wedding in 2019.

"We're so excited, man. It was a long road to get here," Mooney tells PEOPLE of Young, which releases on Aug. 21. "We had written a lot of songs that we ended up kind of starting back at one and writing a bunch of new songs that made us feel something. I think this is our most personal album. If you don't know about Dan + Shay, you're going to learn a lot from this album."
He continues, "And if you know us, you know it's all true. And so it's a really fun snapshot of what our lives look like right now. And I think in the crazy world of AI and technology, this is kind of ... We knew we had to write something with heart. That's something that AI can't replicate. Not yet at least. We wanted to write something that was about us and it's a really personal album, and by far my favorite album we've ever written. And I like to say it's made by humans for humans, and it's an exciting album. So I'm excited for people to hear it all."

As a whole, Mooney and Smyers are "fired up" about their upcoming album release.
"Usually, before we put out an album, I have cold feet. I'm like, 'I don't know, I'm calling the label. We should punt this one.' But I feel really good about this one, front to back," Smyers tells PEOPLE.
