A new FOX special titled Celebrity Crime Scene: Princess Diana is now taking another look into what happened inside the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in 1997.

The one-hour documentary not just focuses on the accident, but it also uses modern virtual-production technology to recreate the scene in striking detail. This new way of presenting the event gives investigators a chance to examine the final moments from perspectives that were difficult or impossible to experience at the time.

The special features are from forensic psychologist and scientist Kerry Daynes, retired U.S. Secret Service agent Rich Staropoli and investigative journalist Jakson Buhaj. The reponse after the car crash is also part of the documentary. The incident happened at about 12:23 a.m. yet Diana reached the hospital at roughly 2:06 a.m., despite the hospital being less than four miles away.

So, this timing raises questions like why the journey took so long when the hospyta wasnt even too far. However, French emergency care procedures involve treating and stabilizing seriously injured patients at the scene before transport, which provides important context for the delay.
