Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025. The Black Sabbath frontman was a father of six and a grandfather.
Osbourne welcomed daughter Jessica and son Louis Osbourne with his first wife, Thelma Riley, in 1972 and 1975, respectively. He also reportedly adopted Riley’s son, Elliot, from a previous relationship.
He welcomed daughters Aimee and Kelly and son Jack Osbourne with his wife, Sharon Osbourne.
Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, leaving behind an immense musical legacy and a loving family. The heavy-metal pioneer and reality television star is survived by wife Sharon Osbourne, his six children, and his grandchildren.
Osbourne welcomed daughter Jessica and son Louis with then-wife Thelma Riley in 1972 and 1975, respectively. He also adopted Riley’s son from a previous relationship, Elliot Kingsley. With wife Sharon Osbourne, the artist welcomed three more children: daughters Aimee and Kelly and son Jack, born between 1983 and 1985.
The patriarch, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, per People, performed a farewell concert with Black Sabbath just weeks before his passing.
Fans were endeared to Ozzy, his wife Sharon, and their two youngest children through their hit MTV reality series The Osbournes, which ran from 2002 to 2005. In 2022, Sharon marked the program’s 20th anniversary on her Instagram. “20 years ago today…we welcomed your family into our home, thank you all for being the perfect house guests 🙏😘,” she captioned a post featuring a compilation of clips from the show.

Elliot Kingsley
Not much is known about Elliot Kingsley, whom Ozzy reportedly adopted during his first marriage to Thelma Riley, per People. Kingsley is Riley’s son from a previous relationship. Unlike his siblings, Kingsley has chosen to live life out of the public eye.
According to his 2009 memoir I Am Ozzy, Ozzy and Riley met at a Birmingham nightclub called the Rum Runner. They were married from 1971 to 1982.

Ozzy and Riley welcomed their first and only daughter, Jessica Starshine Osbourne, on January 20, 1972, according to his memoir. In his book, Osbourne noted that he left England for America six months after Jessica’s arrival to record Black Sabbath’s fourth album, Vol. 4.
Ozzy has been open about not having a close relationship with his older children. In the 2011 documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne, Jessica shared that she didn’t have many early memories of her rock star father.
Jessica was the one who made Osbourne a grandparent for the first time. While she never appeared in The Osbournes TV show, she was mentioned in the episode “Smells Like Teen Spirits,” when Ozzy learned that she had welcomed a daughter.
Louis Osbourne

The 50-year-old attended his father’s final show with Black Sabbath in July 2025, only a few weeks before Ozzy’s death. “The audience showed him all the love that you’d expect and him back to them. An emotional end to a phenomenal 57-year career,” Louis wrote on Facebook after the show, per BBC.
“I had been anxious for months about this as I’ve been worried about my dad’s ability to perform with his Parkinson’s disease. I just wanted it to be a dignified send-off for him. But as soon as he started singing, we knew he was gonna nail it,” he added.
Louis met his now-wife, Louise Lennon, at an L.A. bar in 2002, per Birmingham Live. He was in town for his father’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony when the chance meeting occurred, and the couple wed the following year. They live in Birmingham, U.K. with their two young children.
Like his late father, Louis pursued a career in the music industry. He currently runs record label Mija Recordings, which he founded in 2009.
Aimee Osbourne

Ozzy and his second wife, Sharon Osbourne, welcomed their first child, Aimee, on September 2, 1983, per People. She was born in London, England. Unlike her younger siblings, the 41-year-old actress and singer chose not to participate in the family’s reality series. Because it was filmed at her family’s home, she moved out at just 16 years old.
“[Aimee] felt that she didn’t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea — it was appalling to her,” Sharon said on The Talk in 2018, per People. “And so she left at 16, and I regret every day that she did.”
Like her father, Aimee found herself drawn to music from a young age. She’s currently the lead singer of ARO (a synth-pop band named after her initials, as her middle name is Rachel). The artist also appeared in MTV’s 2003 film adaptation of Wuthering Heights, playing the character Raquelle.

The multi-talented creative wrote her band’s first single, “Raining Gold,” about her life as the daughter of the legendary Ozzy. “I wanted the song to touch on how overwhelming and isolating it feels to be constantly misunderstood and the importance of choosing to break free from that and just believing in yourself,” she told Rolling Stone in 2015. “It’s so valuable to always try and put yourself in someone else’s shoes. I hope this song reminds people of that,” she added.
Ozzy released a song titled after his daughter, “Aimee,” as a bonus track on the 2002 reissue of his 1995 album Ozzmosis.
On a September 15, 2026, episode of the We Need to Talk podcast, Aimee’s younger sister Kelly opened up about their strained relationship. Kelly added that Aimee “didn’t really ever acknowledge” her and her brother Jack. “She was just in her own world doing her own thing,” Kelly said. “And I do, to a certain extent, if I’m honest, feel as though she was embarrassed of us.”
She added: “I’ll never really truly understand. It just felt that way. We’re very different. Everything I am, she’s not. Everything she is, I’m not. Like you couldn’t be more polar opposites. We’re like oil and water.”
“I never got a big sister, and I had to learn how to do certain things that a big sister should have taught you on my own,” Kelly continued, calling this “one of the hardest things” she’s ever experienced. “I do have a resentment there,” she admitted. “I’ll have that forever.” Kelly then concluded by saying she had no hope for a reconciliation between them.

Ozzy and Sharon welcomed daughter Kelly Osbourne on October 24, 1984, in London, per People. She’s been in the spotlight since her teen years, when she broke through with The Osbournes, her family’s reality series on MTV.
The former Fashion Police host has made a name for herself as a television personality, but she’s also dabbled in acting, modeling, and singing. She came in third on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars in 2009, which was ultimately won by Donny Osmond. In 2019, she competed as the Ladybug on the reality singing competition series The Masked Singer.
The 41-year-old has been candid about growing up in the public eye and the intense media scrutiny that’s come with her and her parents’ fame. “We live in a fat-phobic world,” she said in a May 2025 appearance at a health summit in L.A., per People. “I have been a drug addict, an alcoholic … I’ve been a complete mess, disrespectful to people, horrible — but I got more s--- for being fat than I did for anything else. It’s insane.”

Kelly is a proud boy mom to son Sidney, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Sid Wilson of Slipknot. The couple met at Ozzfest in the late ‘90s and were friends for decades before their relationship turned romantic. She shared the news of their engagement—following Wilson’s proposal to her at her father’s final Black Sabbath show—to Instagram on July 6, 2025.
Kelly and Wilson called off their engagement six months after he popped the question. “She’s been in a challenging headspace for several reasons. It’s been very emotional for her. She’s had a lot going on,” a source told People in March 2026. “Ozzy’s death still affects her deeply. She’s very focused on being there for her mom right now. They’re incredibly close and that’s been her priority.”
Sidney loved spending time with Grandpa Ozzy, Kelly shared with People in May 2025. “[Sidney] goes and gets in bed with [Sharon and Ozzy] and they have cartoon time together and it is the sweetest thing ever. I have to literally rip him out,” she said.
Jack Osbourne

Like his sister Kelly, Jack struggled with addiction as a teenager. In 2021, he celebrated 18 years of sobriety with a post on his Instagram. “It’s not that it get [sic] easier or harder, It’s just that it’s life on life’s terms,” he wrote in the post’s caption, adding that he was “[s]ending lots of love to my people who have been on this journey with me.”
In 2012, reps confirmed to People that Jack had married model and actress Lisa Stelly. The two share three daughters together: Pearl Clementine, Andy Rose and Minnie Theodora. Jack and Stelly divorced in 2019, per People.
Jack got engaged to Aree Gearhart in 2021, according to People, and they welcomed their first daughter, Maple Artemis, in July 2022, announcing her arrival on Instagram. They also announced that they’d secretly wed in September 2023, sharing the news in an Instagram post a week later. On March 11, 2026, Jack announced that he and Geargheart welcomed a girl named Ozzy Matilda Osbourne.
The youngest Osbourne is now a paranormal investigator, producing and starring in shows like Portals to Hell. His 2020 series The Osbournes Want to Believe co-starred his parents, who seemed to be coming around to believing in the inexplicable oddities their son showed them. “We’re skeptical believers,” Ozzy told People in July 2020. “Some of it is hokey, but some of the stuff he showed us, we’re both baffled by it.”
Ozzy and Jack also shared the screen for the reality road-trip series Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour, which aired from 2016 to 2018.
The late Black Sabbath singer enjoyed several holidays with his grandchildren, including Jack’s four oldest daughters. In 2023, the rocker spent Easter Sunday with Jack and his family, per People.
